Our FARMHOUSE SAN LEONARDO is located on an 17 ha property between Florence and Siena (in each case 28 km, Pisa airport 74 km away) at the west edge of the "Conca d´oro", the golden shell of Panzano, one of the best wine situations of Chianti classico, amongst oakforests, cypresses, vineyards an olive-groves in a wonderful panorama situation. The former convention with its unostentations chapel was part of the property of the Lisa Gherardini (Mona Lisa), who got it as dowry gift from her father San Silvestro. Her husband, the silk dealer Francesco del Giocondo has given SAN LEONARDO to the cloister Santa Maria Nuovella in Florence in the year 1495 back. After careful restoration there is resulted a little winery with the charm of the Tuscany, wich is loved so much by us northerners. In the old quarrystone-walls you find holiday-apartments, wich are made with much taste and love in their details.
